Miri Fioramonti

I´ve been always interested in the different cultural interpretations that are embodied in us.

At an early age, when we are kids,  stuffed animals and cuddley toys are objects that easily receive all the marks of our emotional world and imagination. In those moments, Dolls serve as bridges between emerging identities and the outside world.

But what happens with this play when we become adults? When our bodies have been easily manipulated by different means and turn themselves into puppets ?

In all the pieces of this exhibition: El cuerpo Pollo, I express, using diverse textiles techniques, our doubts, problems and the humor of becoming human beings and also the social constructions, mandates and prejudices that go beyond our bodies.
